Haverford’s football team is weaker this season than it has been in past years. They currently have a 3-3 record with a 41-14 loss against Penn Charter, a 33-7 loss against the Hun School, and a 58-28 loss against Springfield Montford High School. Led by senior captains Ben Gerber and Asim Richards, the team is looking to come back after last year’s loss on Haverford day.

Coach Keefe, Haverford’s head soccer coach, states, “This has been a rebound season for the Haverford soccer program.” Haverford currently has eleven wins, one loss, and two ties. The only game they lost was to Conestoga, who is currently ranked fifteen in the nation. Haverford is led by their key players: senior captains Will Michaletti, Griffin Wada, and Nick Pippis as well as strong juniors, William Boyes and Mitchell Hark. After their 2-1 loss to EA this year, the Fords will be looking for redemption. Haverford is led by five senior captains including Mac Costin and Andreas Aivazoglou, both of whom place in the top ten in the Inter-Ac. The match will be held on Friday, November, 9 at 12:00 pm at Gulph Mills Golf Club.

Haverford’s golf has consistently been at the top of the Inter-Ac. They won the league the past two years, but they were unable to secure the victory on Haverford day, which led to Episcopal’s first golf Haverford Day triumph in the past six years, ever since golf became apart of the Haverford Day competition. Four players on their team won in the individual Inter-Ac tournament, two of whom placed in the top ten.

Haverford’s water polo team has been extremely strong for the past few years. With a 17-0 record, they have proven their strength under captains Jason Chen and JR Leitz. They have been able to adapt to attack each team’s weaknesses and take extremely accurate shots from the perimeter.

With a record of 1-2 in the 2018 cross country season, Haverford’s team is fairly strong. Key runners include AJ Sanford, who made All-Inter-Ac Second Team last year, but EA’s top three runners beat him at Inter-Acs this year. This year, EA beat the Fords by seven points in their race.
