Agnes Irwins’ Field hockey team has a 8-7 record this season, including an 8-1 loss to EA. “We are looking forward to playing in front of an encouraging crowd of family and friends- the atmosphere they all create makes for good competition, community building, and lasting memories,” states Alison Monzo, Agnes Irwin’s head varsity field hockey coach. She continues, “the team, as always, is excited for this yearly rivalry game that brings our two communities together.”

The Girls Soccer team for AIS has had a rocky start so far this season. The girls are currently 0-5 in the Inter-Ac League thus far. In the first match up against the EA Girls soccer team, they lost to a shoutout 4-0. However, they have some key players that our girls need to look out for. These include; forward Natalie Pansini 20’, midfielder Grace Bartosh ‘19 and their goalie Amelia Leyden ‘20, who came up with many clutch saves the first time around. The girls’ soccer team has strong leadership under Co-Captains Abby Rhodes ’19 and Grace Bartosh ‘19.

The Girls’ Tennis Team for AIS, lead by seniors Lexi Laveran, Camilla Gowen, and Peyton Weber, are currently 4-2 in the Inter-Ac. They have racked up wins against Springside, GA, Notre Dame, and Penn Charter, and only falling short to the top two teams: EA and Baldwin. When asked about the season Natalie Corkran ‘20 explained, “So far, we’ve had a great season with many victories and some tough losses.” In anticipation of the huge event Corkran ’20 continued “We’ve been working extra hard in recent practices and are so excited for EA day. We can’t wait to be on our home turf and hope to bring our best.”
