Rich Palazzese’14: Penn Charter hosted its 3rd Annual Erg-A-Thon on November 16th in honor of Paul Pratt ’14, a member of the Episcopal community who passed away last May.  Penn Charter held the event as a fundraiser; money was donated to EA to purchase a boat in Paul’s name.  The event carried on the “Pull for Paul” theme and all the rowers embraced Pratt’s love for crew.  Jojo Pusey ’14, Co-captain of the crew team who attended the event, stated, “Erg-A-Thon was an excellent way of mourning Paul while celebrating the sport that he loved.”  Teammate and co-captain James Konopka ’14 added that the environment down on Boathouse Row was exhilarating.  “The sense of camaraderie was overwhelming; in a good way.  It was great to see all the school coming together for this cause.”

Beginning  in May, Penn Charter has  been strong supporters of EA and the Pratts’.   At the Stotesbury Regatta in particular, the Penn Charter fans welcomed Episcopal students and faculty to refreshments, seating and standing areas around their designated tents.  The Quaker fans even made signs and joined in the cheering of “Pull for Paul.”
