A car accident occurred on Pennsylvania Route 252 just outside the Episcopal Academy’s North entrance Friday morning.
“Two of the folks involved were transported to local hospitals for minor injuries,” reported Joe Shanahan, Manager of Campus Safety.
Although the cause of the accident is still currently under investigation, the response and support from members of the Episcopal Academy parents, faculty, and staff made a significant difference for the families involved.
Leo Peng ’15, who was driving past the tennis courts located near the North entrance at the time of the accident, recalled that he “saw [the families involved] walking around campus.”
Shanahan additionally lauds the “incredible response by the Newtown Township Police, Fire Department, and EMS folks.”
This accident was a reminder to us all of the responsibility and care that must be taken when traveling on or off campus.
