Michael Nickolas- Fantasy Sleepers

Old Blogs, Pick Six- Mike Nickolas

Last week’s sleeper picks were a big success as Kelce went for 7 points and Quick ended up with 20. Knowing your waiver wire pays dividends when your big players have bye weeks and this week I have two more sleepers that will help your team.

The Chargers’ running backs have had the worst luck. With Danny Woodhead out for the season, Ryan Mathews out 4-5 weeks, and Donald Brown questionable with a concussion, the team has been forced to go to the fourth option. Luckily for the Chargers, he was electric last week. In this past week, Branden Oliver torched the Jets with 114 rush yards, a rush TD, 68 receiving yards and a receiving TD. The Jets defense is one that is becoming more and more questionable each week but having that kind of production against any team is impressive. With Oliver on the road against the Raiders this week, look for another solid week if Donald Brown does not play. Oliver is owned in .7% of all ESPN leagues, so take a chance on him and you could be seriously rewarded.

Continuing with the running back trend, look for Andre Williams this week. Against a mediocre Falcons defense last week, Williams racked up 65 yards rushing and a TD. His stock is beginning to rise given his 36.5% ownership in all ESPN leagues so he’s making waves around the fantasy world. The Giants and Williams face a run defense in the Philadelphia Eagles that let Trent Richardson and the Colts run all over them. Williams will continue that trend this week. Acquire and start him with confidence.
