At Episcopal Academy, the Board of Trustees help to govern the school and make important decisions about it. The Board of Trustees has many different sub-committees like Development, Financial Aid, Investment, Advancement, and Executive in order to ensure that specific attention is given to all parts of Episcopal life. Below are summaries of some of the contributing members of the Board of Trustees of Episcopal.

David Langfitt ‘75
1) Graduated in 1975. Attended from grades 3 through 12. I am one of four brothers who graduated (Tom, deceased, class of 1972; John, class of 1977, and Frank, class of 1982). I have three children who graduated from EA: Barbara 2012, William 2014, and Frank 2016. Barbara graduated from Penn in 2016, and the two boys are there right now.
2) Univ. of Pennsylvania, 1979, majored in History and Economics. Currently, I am a practitioner lawyer in Philadelphia, and I specialize in complex nationwide litigation in multiple courts.
3) I am a member of the committees that focus on development and financial aid. But more than that, I try to help in any way I can.
4) The fantastic experience it provided for my children and the impressive community it has become.
5) Varsity basketball and theater. Both were a thrill.
6) I just published a novel and it’s available on Amazon. The title is Winnabow. It’s a thriller. Most of the trustees have read it. T.J. Locke has too, and he’s a huge fan.

1) Head of School. Parent of three students.
2) University of Pennsylvania (Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Theory, 2005), Rutgers University (Ed.M. in Educational Administration, 1999), Rutgers College, Rutgers University (B.A. in English, 1993)
3) I sit on all the committees, help design the agendas and present frequently.

Stacey McConnell
1) All five of my children attended EA. Four went on to boarding school for upper school. My youngest, Scott, graduated in 2016.
2) I went to Germantown Academy (was the first girl to be a lifer there) and Duke University. I am a lawyer in West Chester PA.
3) I am on the Advancement Committee of the Board.
4) I think the faculty at EA are the best part.
6) I am a dedicated blood donor and have given more than 150 pints of blood and urge others to do so.
Ann Semmer
1) I am a parent of a 9th grader (Will). Will has been at EA since Pre-K.
2) I have an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Shippensburg University, and an MBA from Drexel University. I went to a public high school – Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing, NJ.
3) I am the Finance Chair on the EA Board.
4) I love the feeling of community at EA.
5) My favorite memory of EA is when my son presented his ancestor project in 3rd grade.
6) I have a passion for education, and I have worked with several non-profit organizations that offer educational opportunities to students from low-income families. On EA’s campus, I was the founding Board Chair for the Horizons at EA program.
Lou D’Ambrosio
1) I have been on the Board for 5 years. My daughter Alexa graduated from EA in 2017, and my son Christopher will graduate in 2018.
2) Attended Central High School, Penn State; I majored in Business. I am on the Board of Directors of several companies, having previously been the CEO of Fortune 500 companies.
3) I serve as a trustee and Chairman of the Development Committee.
4) The outstanding students, the focus on teaching, and the way the school encourages students to advocate for themselves.
5) Being on the beautiful campus together as a family, celebrating on sunny days, like at graduation.
6) After 30 years in corporate America, I recently became involved in the music industry and have had fun producing my first album, which landed on the iTunes charts.
Ryan Limaye ‘90
1) I graduated in the class of 1990. My two children currently attend EA (Molly, 9th grade & Matthias, 5th grade). My wife also attended EA and now teaches there (Grace Cornelius Limaye ’90).
2) Penn! I was an undergraduate in the M&T program (dual degree Engineering and Wharton). I majored in Systems Engineering and Management. I also received my MBA from Wharton, majoring in Finance. I now work in Technology Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs.
3) Hopefully I help the board fulfill its mission of governance of the school. I also serve on the Investment Committee which oversees the school’s endowment.
4) I had some really outstanding teachers at EA, whom I will always remember and value.
5) While I had a ton of fun with all kinds of activities at EA (including editing the Scholium and the Tabula), I met my future wife when we were both students at EA (though we never dated while at EA).
6) My office is located in San Francisco (we moved back to Philly in 2015) but I still work a lot there, so I am constantly on planes to the west coast and back.
Robert Corrato
1) Parent of students class of 2021 and 2022
2) LaSalle University; Med College of PA; Jefferson Med; Wharton School of Business. I majored in Biology; Psychology; Internal Medicine; Hospitalist Medicine; Health Policy; Managed Care; Health Services Research. I am now the CEO of Versalus Health.
3) I am the Board Secretary; on the Executive Committee and the Finance Committee.
4) The Stripes! The EA Community.
5) Every day I’m on Campus I see examples of kindness and inclusion. These are the small moments in time that mean the most to me.
6) I worked my way through college and medical school as a disc jockey
David Grossman ‘95
1) My brother (Ben) and I were both lifers at EA. I graduated in 1995. I currently live in Chicago, so unfortunately my children do not go to EA!
2) I attended Harvard and studied Applied Mathematics and Economics. After college, I went to New York and then Chicago where until 2015 I was the Head of Global Credit at Citadel Investment Group. Today I am a private investor.
3) My focus on the board is in thinking strategically about EA’s future and the myriad of issues that EA and other independent schools face. The range of views and the deep expertise and commitment of my fellow board members is invigorating.
4) The students! Entering the campus and feeling the energy of the community is the highlight of the time that I spend at EA.
5) When I was a student, I was passionate about sculpture. I think some of my favorite memories are working on those sculptures and other artistic endeavors.
6) My wife and I are fortunate enough to have two young children (Eliza 7, Max 5) — they are all-consuming on the weekends!
Ann Kraftson ‘85
1) I am fortunate to have graduated in 1985. The days were quite different then; I was in the second graduating class of girls. My brother also attended EA: Class of 1982, so I had one year crossing over with him prior to his graduation. My husband, Don, was also in the class of ’85, and we currently have two children at EA: Brooke, who is a junior, and Charlie, who is in 7th grade.
2) While my lower and middle school years were spent at Agnes Irwin, I graduated from Episcopal Academy. I then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA, and played DI lacrosse for a few years. As for my profession, for the past twenty years, I have helped build The Oxbridge Group, a New York recruiting firm, where we assist investment bankers in moving from banking roles to investing positions. We also transition people with investing experience from company to company. Basically, I help people find jobs in a niche area of finance.
3) I am involved with the Development Committee – our committee helps raise money for various elements of the school on an as-needed basis.
4) The teachers and living the stripes.
5) I have a few favorite memories: As seniors, winning the sweater on Haverford Day. I met my husband at EA. And lastly, chemistry class with Mr. Parr, who was a legend in the science department.
6) I lived in New York City for 17 years and it really opened my mind and exposed me to so many worldly people, beliefs, arts, events and views. I have also hired EA graduates in the past – The alumni are terrific for finding jobs!
