Fantasy football lineups can be tough to orchestrate. Players underperform, get hurt, or have byes. It’s all one big circus act. Going into this weekend, I see two players that are looking to have big weeks that are probably available through the waiver wire.
Owned in just 14.8% of all ESPN leagues, WR Brian Quick could be a great pick up for this week. Going against the Eagles and what is a suspect secondary, I see Quick breaking out a big play here and there and getting you no less than 10 points. Quick is averaging roughly 9 points per week based on his performances against the Cowboys, Buccaneers, and the Vikings. Despite the lack of a consistent QB in St. Louis, Quick will have a day. Pick him up and start him.
Another person to look for is Travis Kelce, Tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. In an offense that rarely throws the ball down the field, Kelce has been used heavily. In his latest game, in all ESPN leagues, he managed 15 points against the New England Patriots as he had 8 receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown. Alex Smith is not a risk taker, so if you need tight end help, Kelce could give you a big lift, even against the resilient 49ers defense. Being owned by only 37.1% of fantasy owners, look for that number to go up in the coming week given his performance. Just make sure you’re the one in your league getting him.
