Tennis: Sophmore Caroline O’Rourke, the number one singles player, is a tremendous competitor and athlete, who is a leader by example. An All Inter-Ac and All Main Line athlete last year, she is mentally tough and never gives up, despite the score or situation.
Boys Cross Country: Pat Sernyak, senior and captain, shows promise as one of the team’s top runners, after recovering from a foot injury last season. He has been in the top eight runners on the team since freshman year, competing at Inter-Ac Championships, EA/Haverford Day races, and State Championships. Sernyak has been training all summer, and says he “looks forward to having a great season with our young, but talented team.”
Girl’s Cross Country: Kristin Greenwood ’12 is the captain and top runner. She is dedicated, hard working, mentally tough, and a leader by example for the entire team. She has won All Inter-Ac honors since her freshman year, and won all-state second team honors.
Boys Water Polo: Kellen Edmondson ’13, has big shoes to fill as this year’s Varsity Water Polo goalie. After last year’s very successful season as Inter-Ac champions with a 16-3 domination over Haverford on EA/Haverford day, the expectations are very high for this year’s team. Edmondson’s performance this preseason reveals that he has tremendous potential and, though it is only his first year as varsity goalie, he promises to be a fierce competitor in the Inter-Ac this season.
Girls’ Soccer: Junior Meghan Hubley is a true team player who exemplifies the statement of ‘actions speak louder than words’. She is a key member of the defensive line and holds the defense in a tight unit, while commanding the best from the players around her.
